Description

The role will focus on formulating new and/or improved products for the Next Science medical devices, acne treatment and anti-aging portfolio. In addition, the ideal candidate will conduct technical testing to evaluate product performance including product aesthetics and product stability and support the Chief Technology Officer with scientific literature searches to demine new product feasibility. Finally, this indivdual will prepare samples for testing, perform proof of concept experimentation to assist patent departments with scientific claims and new product applications as well as writing and updating documents related to product development, manufacturing, quality assurance, SOP;s and SDS's.

Additional Responsibilities:

Support scale-up and participate in the technology transfer of data to contract manufacturers, including site visits if necessary.
Work with engineers, chemists, and microbiologists in the internal laboratory.
Collaborate with a cross-functional team to complete DHF deliverables for FDA submissions.

Requirements

BS in Chemistry or related science
Strong knowledge base within chemistry and formulation principle skin and hair care.
Solid understanding in cGMP and GLP
Five plus years' experience as a R&D formulator in personal care or beauty care industry
Prior experience of new formulations and reverse engineering
Experience with Regulatory and FDA regulations is a plus
Working knowledge of antimicrobials or preservatives
Comfortable working in a multi-functional team environment with strong communication and computer skills
